New Recipe: Stephanie’s Yummy Banana Bread

Tuesday, July 27th, 2010

Stephanie, one of our Facebook fans, recently posted her recipe for banana bread, using Melt Buttery Spread instead of butter.  Says Stephanie:

I
have started cooking with Melt Buttery Spread and love this product.
My family loves banana bread, so I made this "healthier for you"
alternative using Melt

Check out her banana bread recipe in the Recipes section of our website.

Lisa’s Veggie Week

Friday, July 9th, 2010

In a recent post on Thrive Style, Lisa posted an update entitled Veggie Week Continued.  We must say, the blanched broccoli sautéed in virgin coconut oil sounds fantastic, and we'd be curious to see how it would taste when sautéed in Melt.

Care to give it a try?  If so, please let us know what you think and how it tastes.  You're welcome to leave a comment here, on our Facebook Page, or let us know on Twitter.

Substitutes for Butter

Wednesday, July 7th, 2010

FITDAY recently published an overview of substitutes for butter, and included mention of Melt Buttery Spread's main ingredient — virgin coconut oil:

Vegetable, nut, olive, virgin coconut and flax-seed oils may
contain fat as well, but they are healthier forms of fat which
bring lots of benefits to the body. They contain omega-3, omega-6 and
omega-9 fatty acids that are good for the heart. The taste of
virgin coconut and olive oil can make any recipe more delicious.

Have you had a chance to try Melt yet?  Curious as to where to find it in a store near you?  Have a question or comment for us — feel free to get in touch and let us know!
